Cacao Butter ~Ecuador~

Our cacao butter is created using the highly sought after Ecuadorian Arriba Nacional bean (also known as cacao Arriba or cacao Nacional). This bean is renowned for its fruity and floral flavor profile, a result of being unique to Ecuador. Our cacao butter is allergen-free, non-GMO, and naturally vegan.

The beans are carefully selected, fermented, dried, and lightly roasted, then cracked into nibs and ground into a liquid. The liquid is then put through a mechanical press to extract the majority of the Cacao Butter, which is then solidified. Our Cacao Butter is pure and clean, with no deodorizing or toxic chemicals used in the process. We use a low-temperature processing method from start to finish to ensure the best quality and taste while preserving its nutritional value.

Our farmers harvest fully mature ripened pods from trees grown in mineral-rich volcanic soil. The plantation from which we source is known for their high quality low cadmium fine flavour cacao.
